PHOTOGALLERY SENEGAMBIA BIRDING 2021-2024
The Gambia is one of Africa's top countries for bird watching. About 590 species of birds have been recorded in this small West African state. In Senegal, 672 bird species have been observed. On average, we spot an average of 220 to 320 species on a 2-week trip, depending on the season. Of course not only the birds are covered, but also mammals, insects and reptiles. Satisfaction is our top priority. Therefore, we guide you step by step in creating the optimal conditions at the right locations.
Years of experience as a photographer both privately and professionally combined with extremely talented Gambian bird guides means that Senegambia Birding is able to provide you with a professional, successful and unforgettable photography trip.
For editing my photos, I use a combination of Capture one (RAW editing) and Corel pro (final result).
I like soft backgrounds and light pastel colours, and these programmes (always a personal choice) are the best option for that.
I currently use a Nikon Z9 system camera combined with a Nikon 500mm PF f/5.6 lens and a NikoN 1.4x extender.
In our photo hide, a full-frame camera with a 400 to 600mm lens is recommended. For small birds, I sometimes use my setup with 1.4x extender.
On request, a small photo editing workshop is included in your round trip.
